Initial Climate Change Impact Assessment (Form created August 2021)

The intention of this document is to help the council to gain an initial understanding of the impact of a project or decision on the environment. This document should be completed in consultation with the supporting guidance. Dependent on this initial assessment you may need to go on to complete a full Climate Change Impact Assessment. The final document will be published as part of the decision-making process.

Title of proposal

Household Support Fund – Phase 3

Brief description of proposal

To deploy a third allocation of Household Support Fund allocation to provide support to households in need who would otherwise struggle to pay essential utility bills, buy food or meet other essential living costs.  The £3.54m allocation is being made available to NYCC by DWP to cover the period October 2022 to March 2023.  Funding will be provided via supermarket vouchers, Food Banks, Warm and Well, and NYLAF.
